MEET THE TEAM
Since founding Quandary Productions in 2009, Michael has worked on countless short films, adverts, created eight feature films (with a ninth on the way), and has worked as producer on numerous external projects for other directors too. Michael’s key focus is to make Quandary Productions a base which supports other artists from around the world, all year round, whilst amassing an acting troupe and creating his own features every couple of years. Renowned for his experimental style, Sebastian can make music from anything for anything. A part of Quandary Productions since the beginning, collaborating with Michael a total of fourteen times, and they are still going strong. Sebastian consistently strives to improve his composition for film and believes that being a part of Quandary Productions allows him to do this. “Each new production is exciting, inspiring, and something I look forward to.” Adriane is in charge of all things finance and organisation. She keeps everyone in check over at Quandary. With a background in law, project management and auditing, all pre-production (budget, contracts, licensing, etc.) is overseen with razor-sharp attention to detail. As well as loving sushi, prosecco and rock n roll, she also does everything she can to ensure future Quandary Productions output is as professional as possible. Director / Writer / Producer / Editor

Ashley has over 10 years experience in various areas of media production. He’s particularly astute when it comes to sound, with experience as a post sound mixer, sound recordist and sound designer in film. He also works on music collaborations and has been a music director for gaming projects. He is fuelled by curiosity, experimentation and discovery. A big fan of arthouse, experimental and surrealist cinema. In charge of all things sound, “our Julie” has worked on many other different projects for the BBC and Netflix films, but says “‘ANHEDONIA’ will always have a special place in my heart! I loved the chemistry of the crew and cast and can’t wait to be there on future projects.” Her exceptional contribution to sound quality both during production and supporting the edit has been invaluable. Andy has been working as a filmmaker and DoP since 2010, contributing to It’s My Shout, BBC Wales and has shot several feature films. Based in the valleys where the landscapes are beautiful and life is colourful, Andy joined the team for the feature film ‘ANHEDONIA’ – “It grabbed my imagination with a script that is ambitious and unpredictable, and I’m looking forward to being stretched in pursuit of the mesmerising images needed to help bring Mike’s vision to life.”Sound Designer / Post Mixer

Dan is a practising visual and sound artist. Master of digital experimentation. With a shared love of David Lynch, the weird, esoteric and avant-garde, he is excited to continue to bring his own sound designs to future Quandary Productions films. Paul and Michael have been close friends for many years, and Paul’s help in creating and maintaining each iteration of the Quandary Productions website, as well as helping with online promotions, has been invaluable. There seems to be few problems he can’t fix. As well as being a published writer of flash fiction, Lucy contributes substantially to the pre-production process. She is also founder and co-host of The Talkies Film Podcast series, released during lockdown. Nathan is a writer trying out as many fields as he can. Discovering Quandary Productions had a similar love for storytelling as him – especially breaking down of the conventional – Nathan leapt on board when offered the opportunity of script editor on ‘MUTE’ and now regularly edits new scripts, and continues to prove invaluable. Covering all things social and press related, Louise has been a part of the gang since 2015, helping out with BTS videos and photos, whilst developing her own freelance PR & Social Media portfolio for other independent businesses. Over the past ten years, over 500 film students across South Wales and the Midlands have been offered roles in various stages of production. Quandary Productions believe offering hands-on experience at an earlier stage furthers professional development and allows those engaged to progress in their chosen field quicker.
