It’s been a great privilege to be asked to be one of the judges for Birmingham-based Film Festival Indiefilmopolis this year. There have been so many great entries and we can’t wait for the awards to be announced to help promote and support a new generation of filmmakers.
I was asked by Filmmaker and Festival Founder Philip Pugh (a long-time supporter of Quandary) to judge Best Short Film, Best Cinematography and Best Director, and it was incredibly hard to pick a favourite for each because the entries were so good. Once the awards have been announced I’ll be sure to start sharing the films – there’s one in particular that didn’t win any awards for the category it was in, but I really loved and want more people to see, so keep your eyes peeled.
