If we’ve been a little queitly recently it’s because we’ve been deep in the pre-production stage of our next feature film – ‘MOTHER SKY’. So where are we at right now? Roughly two thirds of the way through the planning stage, so the majority of the hard work is done. Our cast and crew are set, the script breakdown is complete, location recces and early script readthroughs have taken place; the film has been fully shot listed, playlists have been created for cast members and we have a pretty solid schedule in place. All we have left to organise is props, costume, further rehearsals, travel plans and test shoots. Not a bad position to be in six months before we start shooting.
So when are we actually going to shoot? Well, as it stands, we plan to shoot 20 days between 26th June – 23rd July this year, the majority of which will take place in a remote cottage in Pembrokeshire. We’re all unbelievably excited to get back to filming.
For those unfamiliar with our latest project here’s the synopsis:
Two street hustlers flee from their problems, taking shelter at a commune run by a woman who cannot feel pain. Little do they know they’ve run into a situation worse than the one they left, as they get caught up in a whirlwind of chaos, aggressive neighbours, hallucinatory ceremonies and land grabs that, combined, could prove fatal.
