We’ve stayed relatively quiet about how we plan to release and showcase our next feature film ‘MUTE’, but that silence stops now. By this point it’s likely that you know ‘MUTE’ is to be released May 21st, but you’re probably still wondering “where can I watch it?”, “will there be a premiere?”, “why the secrecy?”. So, here we go…
There will be no public premiere of ‘MUTE’ on May 21st. Past experience shows that our audience is predominantly online. Holding a premiere also feels too self-congratulatory and dull, quite frankly. We want you to connect with the film, directly, and not be distracted by perceived glitz and glamour. So, come May 21st, ‘MUTE’ will be available to be purchased on DVD, on demand, or digital download from this site only.
So what do we intend to do with the film after the online/DVD release? Well, after this initial release for crowdfunders and accumulating fans, Louise and myself will be travelling South America until November. Upon our return we will be touring the film around the UK with a few select screenings, with Q+A sessions, alongside the usual festival route.
Crowdfunders of the project will receive their digital or DVD copies on May 18th, along with access to a full featurette on how we made the film, as a special thanks for their contributions. For those interested in pre-ordering a DVD (for just £5.99 inc. P+P), please purchase below.
